The idea of a cartoon-like cover art has been around for some time now.
A few days ago, Davido released the track list for his sophomore album; the cover of which has a painting of him and his dad in front of a statue that appears to be that of his late mum; Veronica Adeleke.
Now let’s talk about the cover art, itself. When you look at this amazing work of art, you can’t help but think the emphasis of the story it shares.
The album art has Davido, his mum and dad, his uncles, his two daughters; Imade and Hailey and also Chioma, his soon to be wife and the mother of his newly born son, David Adeleke jnr.
It also does not leave not behind his DMW team members. Without doubt this cover art is an embodiment of his career growth, new beginnings, sad and happy moments.
If you also look closely just above his head you’ll notice a faint drawing of his friend, DJ Olu. Olu passed away two years ago.
He may have had two daughters with two different women that he didn’t necessarily intended to settle down with, he has since found love, Chioma.
The couple got engaged and also welcomed a child together, quite a personification of ‘A Good Time’ demonstrated.
When you think about Davido, you really can’t think about a dull moment with him, in that manner he has gone ahead to create a classic out of the energy he brings.
The cover art and the title is a sense of communication to trust on, and enjoy every moment that passes in life, because in life, you may have the good, the bad and the worst but you have to take your happiness out of each moment. Trust your growth process and be open to life’s evolvement.
